Pardoe Sportsmens Rifle League

 

Club Rules

1.  Club hours are 8 AM until sunset.  Indoor range is 24 hours a day.
2.  Except for activities open to the public, MEMBERSHIP CARDS MUST BE DISPLAYED OPENLY WHILE ON CLUB PROPERTY. (A fishing license holder works well)  Anyone failing to produce identification upon request of a club official will be prosecuted for trespassing.
3.  Any person using club grounds shall be fully and financially responsible for any damage they or their guests inflict upon club property or equipment.
4.  No person shall conduct themselves in any manner that can cause or causes harm to the health, safety, or general welfare of any person.
5.  Except for activities open to the public, use of club facilities is restricted to club members and when accompanied by the member, their spouse, family members under 16 years of age, and one guest per club member.  The guest provision is to introduce people to the club.  More than 2 visits a year must produce a membership.  A "guest" for the indoor range is a non-member, or a non key holding member, again limited to 2 visits a year if not producing a membership and key purchase.
6.  Due to insurance regulations, no one coming to the club may possess or be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.  NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES OR ILLEGAL DRUGS ARE PERMITTED ON CLUB GROUNDS.
7.  Motorized vehicles of any sort are permitted only on roadways and designated parking areas; off-road vehicles are prohibited from club property.
8.  Littering is prohibited.  This includes shotgun shells and used targets.  NO GLASS BOTTLES ARE PERMITTED AS TARGETS.
9.  On the rifle range, all shooting will be done from the shooting bench area between the safety berms.  Loaded firearms are not permitted in the shooting area if someone is downrange.
10.  The rifle range is restricted to rifles and shotguns with slugs.  Handguns, submachine guns and fine or buckshot may be used only on the pistol ranges.  Exception: Long range hunting or "silhouette type" handguns are permitted.
11.  Rapid fire is NOT PERMITTED on the rifle range (MINIMUM 3 SECONDS BETWEEN SHOTS).
12.  When using the permanent target frames, targets are to be affixed to the 1x3 vertical strips, not the uprights or cross members.
13. Targets will be positioned in such a manner ALL SHOTS FIRED STRIKE THE BACKSTOP.  Side safety berms are NOT backstops and shall not be used as such.
14.  Exceptions to some rules may be granted for authorized club functions.
15.  Any violation of the above club rules will result in the suspension of a member's club membership.
